includes 50 years. This type of search is critical for sales or other
transactions involving transfers of ownership.
A limited search is a search of the public records for a period less than 50
years. This type of search is appropriate for preliminary investigations. Liens and encumbrances which
would be revealed by a full search may not be discovered within the limited
search period.
