SELT Pergola SB500 allows you to create both free-standing one-modular structures as well as complex multi-module systems. They are used not only in commercial buildings, but also in single-family houses. Construction is made of extruded aluminium and steel elements, while the roof is composed of movable blades with a changeable angle of inclination. Projection of the module is a multiple of the blade interval (25 cm). Blades limit the access of sunlight and their rotation is initiated by remote control. In closed position the blades create a waterproof roof protecting the terrace from rain. Water is drained through a system of integrated side gutters and outflows aesthetically hidden inside the construction.

Pergola SB500 system allows you to create structures with a module width of up to 5 m and expand them with additional side covers using SLIDE systems and ZIIIP.

This model comes in standard in three carefully selected colours: white, graphite and anthracite, which are suitable for most outdoor arrangements. It is possible to order a pergola in a different colour from RAL palette (optional for a surcharge).

Free-standing Pergola

Selt Pergolas can be a fully independent, free-standing structure that can be adjusted to the size of the terrace, swimming pool or other space that requires appropriate protection from the sun. They create additional relaxation zones which, in addition to providing shade, also offer protection against rain.

As a wall-mounted version pergola becomes a natural extension of the living area and will not only serve as a cover for terrace, but will also allow you to shade the interior of the building.

Durable construction, reinforced joints

Thanks to special joint reinforcements, the entire pergola structure gains stability and resistance to strong wind. The internal reinforcements of the load-bearing structure as well as the external elements of pergola are made of extruded aluminium, which guarantees durability and reliability of this type of solution even with larger buildings.

Functionality of
Sunbreaker system

The roof of pergola SB500 is made of movable aluminium blades that allow for individual adjustment of the shade level, depending on the external conditions and users' preferences. The movement of the blades is remotely controlled, which guarantees maximum comfort of use. The blades in closed position provide additional protection against rain. When using the ELERO Picolo XL motor the angle of rotation is 90° and in the case of the 24 DC motor, the angle of rotation is 120°.

What is the minimum width of pergola SB500 system?

The minimum width of this system is 2000 mm.

What is the blade rotation angle?

The angle of rotation of the blades is 120° when using a 24 DC motor and 90° when using the ELERO Picolo XL motor.

Do the blades hide in the system?

No, the blades can rotate but there is no possibility to move them in any direction.

Is it possible to have different colours (e.g. construction in graphite and roof in white)?

Yes, it is possible (no additional payment for colours from Selt palette). It is not possible to paint the blades in two different colours on each side.

Is it possible to make a pergola only with one post?

This solution is available with wall-mounted version of the system where the pergola is mounted on two sides to the wall. It is a non-standard solution that comes with a surcharge. This system is then not waterproof because the water cannot be drained off in the right amount and at the right speed.

Can one post be shorter than the other?

Yes, posts can be cut to the size chosen by the customer.

Can LED lighting be mounted only on one side?

No, the customer receives LED lighting on all four sides of the system.

Is the drainage system included in price?

Yes, it is included in price.

Is it possible to create multi-module systems with pergola SB500?

Yes, in pergola SB500 modular systems are connected with one common lengthwise beam and one common post.

Is it possible to built up the pergola posts?

It is possible but the drainage holes cannot be blocked.

Does the pergola have protection against clogging of drainage systems?

Yes, a grate is included in the set, which the customer can use to protect the drain holes.

Is a remote control included in price?

Yes, the customer receives a 5-channel remote control in RTS or IO technology. When choosing Pergola 24V motor, there is only IO technology to choose from.

Can one remote control operate both pergola and ZiiiP systems?

Yes, in case of multi-channel remote control it is possible. We are adding 5-channel remote control to a pergola, which allows you to operate a pergola and 4 ZiiiP systems.

Are there more colours for LED lighting?

No, we only have one colour available - neutral, with a value of 4500 Kelvin.

Is it possible to adjust the LED lighting?

Yes, as standard a remote control is added to the set that can be used to regulate the light intensity. In addition it is possible if the entire control is in Somfy IO technology (then you have to order IO White LED Receiver).

What is the difference between pergola SB400 and SB500?

These models differ in maximum external dimensions, dimensions of the structural elements, the size of the blades and solutions in modular systems.

How does the drainage system work?

The water is drained through the bent gutter to the main gutters through which it flows to the profiles, then to the posts and at the bottom it goes outside.

Is it possible to choose the side of water outflow?

Yes, there is such possibility. However, it is recommended to have water outflow on two sides of pergola for maximum drainage capacity. Placing the water outflow only on one side may cause water overflow from the gutters.

Is it possible to choose the side on which the motor will be mounted?

Yes, the motor can be mounted on the lengthwise beam on the left or on the right, depending on the customer's request.

Are there additional options in the form of electrical devices?

Yes, it is possible to order heaters.

Is it possible to choose any given projection?

No, it must be a multiple of 25 cm and be between 200 cm and 700 cm.

Can the roof be weighed with snow?

No, the blades should be opened during snowfall.

What is the permissible wind load?

It is 400 Pa, i.e. 40.8 kg / m2.

What is the height of the beam that makes up the perimeter frame?

The beam is 290 mm high.
